FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Q. What kind of paint do you use for face painting?
A. We don't use paint...we use professional make-up that is designed for face painting and body art. It is hypo-allergenic, and has an allergic reaction rate similar to quality cosmetics, because it is made using the same quality FDA-compliant ingredients.
Q. Why don't you use craft supplies for face painting and temporary tattoos?
Q. Why don't you give balloons to kids younger than age 3?
Q. How do I determine how many entertainers will I need at my event, or how long they should stay?
A. Craft supplies (acrylic paint, "washable" markers, tempera paint, watercolors and the like) are not approved for use on skin, and can contain ingredients that cause allergic reactions, such as latex and nickel. They are not as comfortable as the professional make-up, either -- they are often itchy and tight-feeling, and much harder to remove.
A. The balloons we use when we do twisting are made of natural latex. They feel very much like a pacifier or the nipple on a baby bottle, so young children like to chew on them. That presents a choking hazard, and we care about the safety of our clients, so we want to avoid that possibly dangerous situation!
A. When you contact us about your event, we'll ask a lot of questions...not to pester you, but to help you make it the best it can be! By finding out the ages of the guests, how many there will be, what your budget is, and what kind of entertainment you want, we can give you the best value in entertainment to fit the needs of your event and make it fabulous!
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Pricing varies depending on several factors, including which kind of entertainment you want, how many entertainers you're hiring, how long they will be there, where the event is located, and when the event will be (we offer "off-season" discounts, for example!). When you contact us, we'll walk you through it and help you find entertainment that will fit your budget and amaze your guests!
Q. When should I book?
A. Booking is variable, depending on the time of year, but during the summer months and around holidays, try to give us at least 2-4 weeks notice for the best chance at getting your preferred date and time. But if you have a last-minute need for entertainment, contact us -- you never know when we might have availability!
Q. Why is it important that your entertainers all carry entertainer's insurance?
A. Most corporate events require insurance, but even if they didn't, we'd still have it! Why? Because, in the event some odd accident happens (such as someone knocking a palette of face paint on the carpet), our insurance will cover the cleaning or repair, giving you peace of mind knowing that is one less thing to worry about!
Q. Do you volunteer for charity events?
A. We have already selected several charities for whom we volunteer; for all other documented 501(c)(3) organizations, we offer discounted rates.
Q. What kinds of events do you do?
A. We do everything from individual one-on-one henna appointments, to birthday parties with just a few guest, to Ladies' Night Out parties for moms' groups, to corporate events with tens of thousands of guests! We have a team of very talented and dedicated entertainers, so we can handle events both large and small!
Q. Do you sell the supplies you use? If not, where do you purchase them?
A. We do not sell any supplies...only entertainment. We buy the majority of our supplies through the internet.
Q. How do I book an event?
A. To book an event, send an e-mail to Cindy@CindysCC.com and include all the details you can about the event. We'll get back to you with pricing and availability, and if everything works out, we'll e-mail you a contract. The event will be held on our calendar for 5 days for you to return the contract with the 50% deposit; at that point, it becomes a firm booking.
Q. How do I pay for the services?
A. Our accepted methods of payment include credit cards (only through PayPal), cash, PayPal, and (in certain circumstances) checks. Private parties booked less than 15 days in advance, or being held in parks, require credit card or PayPal deposit, and balance paid in cash at event.
Q. Do you have a Santa or Bouncy Castles?
